Backup andDisaster Recovery

Get the PMS back before the next arrival, not the next working day.

A backup appliance and drives beside a laptop

Losing the property management system is not an IT problem, it is an operations problem. Nobody can check in, nobody can post a charge, and the night audit does not run. What matters is how quickly the hotel is trading again, and that is decided long before the day it happens.

What is included

  • Backup of the PMS database, servers, endpoints and Microsoft 365
  • Off-site and immutable copies, so a backup cannot be encrypted alongside the source
  • Axcient recovery targets of 15 minutes to recover and under an hour of data at risk
  • Chain-free backups, so one bad block does not take the whole history with it
  • Test restores on a schedule, with the results written down
  • A recovery plan you can reach from the front desk when the systems are down

Who it is for

Any property running a PMS, an EPOS estate or a file server the day stops without.

Questions we get asked

Our PMS is cloud-hosted. Is that not backed up already?

Your vendor protects its platform, not your content or your integrations. Rate loads, interface configs and exports still need protecting, and your Microsoft 365 data is not covered by the PMS contract at all.

How do we know the backups work?

Because they are restored on a schedule and the result is recorded. A backup nobody has tested is an assumption, and it usually fails on the busiest week of the year.

Start with the Wi-Fi

A guest Wi-Fi audit is the quickest way to see how we work: we survey the property, test what guests actually experience, and report on what needs doing and what it costs. The findings are yours whether or not you go ahead.
